Once I spent every moment either thinking about or wishing for the perfect life and the perfect relationships. Until one day, years after I became a Chartered Psychologist, I decided to use my knowledge to change my life. Guess what? It worked.
Now my family relationships are just perfect, after years of moaning about my parents, my siblings and my extended family. I spent so long wishing and regretting, burying my sensitivities, feelings of resentment and anger, until I just couldn't do it any more. I was getting ill. My blood pressure was soaring, my heart was experiencing palpitations and my nerves ... well, they were at breaking point. Add the pressures of work and I was quite frankly heading for a breakdown.
Something just had to change.
I knew from my professional work that I needed to improve my relationships, both at home and at work. The secret to coping with a busy life is to enjoy being with the people who are in it.
I wanted more friends, but just didn't have the time to go out there and nurture new friendships, or so I thought.
I wanted the people that I worked with to listen to me, co-operate with me better and respect my gifts and talents as well as recognise what I had to offer them.
I wanted that special person, that special lover that would love me and stay with me no matter what I said or did. I hoped for someone who would just love me as I was, warts and all.
I thought that the perfect partner would be someone who would never leave me, even if I was selfish, unkind or temperamental (you know, the creative temperament).
I thought that the perfect person would just love me, no matter what.
I didn't think that I had any part to play. I didn't realise how easy it was to have loving and kind friends, who supported me and cared about what happened to me.
I didn't realise how I could change the way people related to me, what they thought about me and the benefits they saw in me.
I didn't realise that fixing my family was so simple, stress free and rewarding to do. It was just a case of learning how to do it and putting my new skills into operation. Easy, peasy.
I thought that the perfect partner was out of reach, and discovered he was just right under my nose. In fact, it was the one I already had.
All I had to do was apply some simple techniques to turn mine into the happiest and most rewarding relationship I had ever had in my entire life.
By using my professional skills and techniques on myself and my own life I turned my love and my relationships around so completely that I just don't know why I hadn't done so before.
Let me show you how I did it. I will give you the same tips and techniques that rescued my relationships from the trash. If you work at them like I did you will enjoy the same results."
